Dropped a couple of bikes up to the NEC yesterday on the custom extreme stand for BSH magazine, go check them out

Picked up the shovel

Picked it up last Friday and whilst is a new frame and full custom but only 70% finished, I decided to take it apart and do it the sickboyz way, so much for pick a shovel up and tidy it up and ride it, I knew I couldn't help myself, anyways it ain't going to look anything like this when me an Stig are done

Sickboyz in Holland Big-twin show

well we did it...we went to the big-twin show in holland and traded our clothing and biltwell helmets, we had a really cool time and loads of people were looking at XXXL and Bob's Shovel, shame we never managed top 10 but there was some very cool bikes there.

Bigtwin Show Rosmalen

Sickboyz Customs will be off to the Bigtwin bike show in Rosmalen in Holland from 3rd to 6th November, we will be showing both Bob's Shovel and XXXL in the show and we will be also trading in the main custom hall, Sickboyz will have our new range of MA2 Jackets, our new Red kap work jackets and red kap work shirts, all will be embroidered with the sickboyz skull and spanners logo, pictures of the new stuff will be posted as soon as we have stock, which should be early next week.

XXXL makes it to Brightona 2011

after a manic few days before brightona XXXL made it almost finished to Brightona 2011, we had a great day there and pulled in some big crowds round both XXXL and Bob's Shovel, XXXL has now been road tested and the customers came to the workshop yesterday to ride this one off custom.

Sturgis Ride

well well well, having the worry of trying to get a customer to agree a build that we can take to sturgis for them is pressure, we need to have 6 months to build this bike, we think its going to be a special bike and will eclipse anything that we have built before.........after a few months of negotiation and a period of relative quietness, all of us at sickboyz thought the sturgis trip was just going to be a dream.

well yesterday was a very good day in sickboyz, we met with the guys that are going to supply us our complete drivetrain and it looks like its on, our money man is in so all looks good, i have been promised the engine by mid october and we can then start to build the frame, the bike will be fully SVA and legal and will be nostalgia central with the usual sickboyz twists.

too much to do

havent managed to blog here for ages, been so busy in the workshop and attempting to build sickboyz into more of a business, we will be building almost 5 bikes in total this year since moving into the new workshop and a change of personel, since Stig has been with Sickboyz he has managed to take us where we have never been before, with his background in custom cars and his custom painting skills Sickboyz look set to be around for a long time, Stig is an old skool grafter, he believe as i do, hard work and long hours dont hurt you.

we got an xl sportster on a 2000 plate, it was nothing interesting and we spent 10 days customising it for the bournemouth AMD show, it was our own inhouse biker build off, when at the show we got some really good comments from everyone that looked at it and a couple of magazines wanting to shoot it for features, i might add at this point that Mike Noble of Guildford custom Cycles showed me a picture of a lanesplitter that managed to get our jucies flowing at Sickboyz and we put our little twist on it and this is what we came up with, we used all the normal harley switch gear and kept indicators and horn, we are calling this "a recession busting custom" give us your pre 2003 sportster and we can change it to something like this for around £2800.

couple of cool photos from the weekend, in the first picture is me in the middle with mike from guildford custom cycles holding his first place trophy for modified harley and on the right isLarry Houghton from Lamb Engineering in my humble opinion the best bike builder in the world at this moment of time and probably the nicest most decent guy you would ever likely meet, if anyone wants a lesson in how to accept the glory that has and will be given to Larry then speak to this man and watch him carefully, he is a true legend.

oh yeah there was a twist in the show, Larry of course won best in show but seeing as he already has a sturgis prize it went to best freestyle and that was us, so sickboyz will be at sturgis not this year but next year for the biggest show on earth.

haslemere fire station

sickboyz will be trading at haslemere fire station next sunday along with some well known companies in the guise of Image design customs and guilford custom cycles the custom arm of Guilford Harley Davidson, hopefully the weather is as nice as it has been the last few days, see you there.

dorking boot sale

to me this was by far the best modified harley in Mainz, if they take it to sturgis they could walk away with the top honours unless Shaw pull it out with the Bell & Ross bike

CCE show

well we had a great weekend at the custom chrome Europe dealer show, our hosts made us very welcome and we will be there again next year, there was some really fantastic bikes there and the winner was deservedly Larry Houghtons "son of a gun" BSA custom cafe, we drank too much and had some really good laughs, will post some pictures soon

fucking good weekend

what a great time me and stig had with all the other Brits in pecquencourt, met some new faces and some faces we have seen plenty of times before, was really well looked after by our hosts and will deffo be going again, got to remember some sort of comfortable sitting device next time as all that walking around and standing gets a bit of a chore, thanks for the car park party, will post some pics of the cool shit in the next day or two.

well i never managed to get to the workshop till arf 4, stig was entertaining in that we had several visitors, its a community centre hahaha, sold some shit and came up with a couple of cool ideas for a frame set up, which is going to be for the new sickboyz project "conspiracy" well thats the first draft of the name, its going to be a speedster with some one off bits and shit loads of cool, watch this space.
